A running taste-test, one café at a time

Chasing the best iced matcha lattes in town.

Neil Drinks Matcha is a straw-first field log of the cafés worth the trip — rated, photographed, and pinned as the search continues.

The premise

One iced latte, judged honestly.

Every café gets the same order: an iced matcha latte, no vanilla to hide behind. What makes the cut here is the shortlist — the cups where the matcha actually holds its own against the ice and milk.

  • A+Vibrant, well-whisked matcha with real balance — you can taste it through every sip, straw to the last cube.
  • BA solid everyday order. Good ratio, good oat milk, nothing to complain about.
  • CMostly milk and syrup wearing a matcha costume. Noted, not reordered.

Every café, pinned.

An interactive map is on its way — click a pin, see the café, jump straight to their site. For now, the archive lives on Instagram.
